The primary issues facing this area are the decline the number of jobs, health, and environmental quality. District 8 covers part of Kenneth Hahn Park and an area that is inhibited by the Inglewood oil field, there is heavy drilling underground in this area and emissions from the site have caused much controversy amongst residents. This an important issue that has had effects on the housing market, health of the community, and natural resources.
